Coronavirus and Foster with Edinburgh services

It’s a very anxious and uncertain time for everyone and we want to recognise the valuable contribution that our carers are making in looking after some of Edinburgh’s most vulnerable children.

We are working hard to continue to deliver our foster care services and we are doing everything possible to support our carers with the challenges ahead.

How we’re supporting our carers

  • We’re sending regular email updates to all carers with the latest government guidance and advice on coronavirus.
  • Our Family Based Care social workers are in regular contact by the phone providing advice and sharing resources.
  • We’re ensuring carers with suspected coronavirus follow national advice and have a health plan in place.

New carers still needed

We’re still recruiting foster carers. If you’re interested in fostering you can call our Fosterline on 0800 174 833 or email us and one of our social workers will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note, we won’t meet with you face to face until the situation changes.
