Training, support and development

We are committed to helping carers develop their skills and knowledge through regular training programmes, support and development opportunities.

We provide a range of opportunities, with something to suit all learning styles.

We explore and identify your training needs on an ongoing basis.

We provide occasional training about guidelines, procedures or legislation that affect looked after children and carers.

Training events let you meet other carers and benefit from their experience and knowledge while building supportive relationships.

Joint events give you the chance to share knowledge and skills with a range of social work, education and health professionals.

We promote the use of attachment theory and other relational-based approaches, including social pedagogy.
