Steps to becoming an adoptive parent
Step 1: Noting your interest - information sharing session
Email Adoption@edinburgh.gov.uk or call 0131 200 4200 and let our team know that you are interested in adoption. A member of our staff will take some basic information from you to open a record and ensure you meet the basic criteria. If you do, they will arrange an information sharing session with you.
The information sharing session is an opportunity for you to gain an insight into adoption. You will have 2 weeks to consider the information and decide if you want to progress your journey. If we do not hear from you, within 2 weeks we will close your referral.
