Popping up all over the city

During Foster Care Fortnight the Foster with Edinburgh team has been out and about recruiting foster carers in the city.
The Foster with Edinburgh team has been busy during this year’s Foster Care Fortnight promoting fostering around the city. At the weekend, fostering team members Paula and Clare hosted a pop-up event at North Edinburgh’s Community Festival.
Paula said: "It was a terrific event with over 3,500 people there, and such a great opportunity to meet members of the public and link up with the city’s community groups."
Clare added:"We spoke to lots people about fostering. We’re now following up a number of enquiries from people who are seriously considering becoming foster carers."
Foster with Edinburgh also partnered with John Lewis to host a pop-up event this week in the John Lewis St James’ Quarter store.
Fostering Recruitment Manager Sharon Burn said:
“We want to thank John Lewis for giving us the opportunity to spread the fostering message to Edinburgh shoppers. A big thank you also to John Lewis’s Partner & Community Liaison Coordinator, Judith, (pictured with Sarah and Scott from the fostering team) who has been a huge support in helping organise stalls within the store.”
If you’d like to change a child’s life by becoming a foster carer we’d love to hear from you.
