Who can foster?
Our foster carers come from different backgrounds and bring their own unique qualities, skills and life experience to the role.
We support diversity and welcome applications from Black and Minority Ethnic and other heritages. Whether you are single, married or living with a partner, regardless of sexuality or gender, a homeowner or renting, you could be eligible to apply. We do however have minimum requirements. You
- must be over 21 years old
- must be a British citizen or have indefinite leave to remain
- must have good spoken and written English
- must have a suitable spare bedroom if you are caring for children over two years old
- cannot smoke or vape if you are caring for a child under two or five if providing long term care or a child of any age with a disability.
